Three months.

Three months since you stepped off that bullet train into the unknown.

Three months since you took in the colorful atmosphere of Japan's city lights, people, and exotic culture.

Three months since you first met; him.

Growing tired of seeing the same ol' rinky dinky state you called home, a trip was planned. One that led you to visit the most popular vacation spot at this time of year. Being your first trip out of the country, and half way across the globe from family and friends, it was a little scary exploring a new place by yourself. Nevertheless, you came prepared. A few maps, directions to the apartment you'd be temporarily living in, and a list of restaurants and businesses nearby to check out once you were settled in.

The only thing you didn't prepare for, was someone plucking those delicate heartstrings of your's.

First week into your trip, you saw him there. Arms leaned against the metallic arch of the bridge leading into town, one leg hooked behind the other in what you'd call a rather "crooked" pose. The sound of your shoes shuffling along the concrete caught his attention, head briefly turning in your direction. To you, he was just some guy chilling out, another stranger you'd never lay eyes on again once you walked past him.

It wasn't until his weight shifted off the railing, that he graceful spun on the back of his heel to face you. His sudden motion caused you to flinch, staggering back a little. The faintest yelp escaping your vocal cords. He only chuckled at your reaction, stepping forward allowing a few of his digits to curl around the edge of his glasses.

"Beg pardon M'lady, I did not mean to startle you with my adoring presence!"

Adoring presence?

More like creepy. A random guy approaching you like that, and calling you his "lady" ? You felt the muscles in your left eye begin to twitch, a look of confusion and uneasiness spreading across your facial landscape.

"E-Excuse me?"

A smile bore across the raven's facial landscape, amused by your response expecting nonetheless from someone like you. A foreigner who barely knew their way around this place, or anyone for that matter. He adjusted the pair of shades resting against his nose, before slowly removing them to gaze further upon your beautiful features. Dark, glittering orbs meeting the (color) pools of your own.

"Ahh, so you haven't heard of me? Such a shame, you'd make a fine Karamatsu Girl~!"

Karamatsu, Girl?!

He was just confusing you even more. And on top of that, flustering you in the most uncomfortable way possible. You weren't use to this kind of attention, especially from a guy who looked like he raided the local arts n' crafts store of all their glitter. You stood there, speechless, wondering if he'd either given you his name in the most egotistical way possible, or just outright trying flirting with you because you weren't from around here. You were surprised he even understood English. Despite most of it being scattered and broken.

"Heh, holding back your excitement I see. I don't blame you m'lady, I'm sure it's not everyday you're greeted by such a dazzling star like myse-"

The man's sentence was cut short by the sound of you giggling, which evolved into a fit of muffled laughter. His thick, well-trimmed eyebrows knitting in their own confusion watching you struggle not to burst out laughing for everyone else around you to hear. Beads of sweat formed across his forehead, lips sagging into a concerned yet slightly offended frown.

"M-My lady?"

You couldn't take him seriously. While flirting was one thing, the fact he was making himself look like some high-class celebrity made it difficult to hold a straight face. Doing your best to calm down, a few loose snickers escaping those delicate lips of your's, you let out a sigh of contentment noticing his posture straighten once he realized you were okay.

"Oh gosh, I haven't laughed like that in a while. You're certainly a charmer aren't you?"

He blinked, a puzzled squeak leaving him before he quickly reverted back to his original stance, glasses covering up the bedazzling gaze that'd now shifted to a pair of round black orbs less glittery than before. The raven cleared his throat, forcing himself to laugh at your question acting like your little giggle fit hadn't phased him at all. Putting on that persona voice again to cover up the slip he'd made.

"Heh, If I am then you must be an angel m'lady~! Tell me, did it hurt falling from heaven~?"

You snorted again, his expression faltering in response.

"Please, there's no need to be so formal. Really, I don't deserve such a showering of compliments."

He took a step forward, purposely invading your personal space seeming to stare at you through his shades. The smile, returning to his complexion in the form of a playful smirk. You recoiled, a soft, pink color dusting your cheeks as the raven slowly lowered his sunglasses towards the edge of his nose, exposing those sparkling orbs of his yet again.

"M'lady, you deserve to bath in them. Such a beauty like yourself shouldn't pass by without being complimented!"

Hearing you giggle again, this time just being plain flustered made his spirits soar. Out of all the people he'd delivered such painful lines to, you were the first who actually seemed to enjoy them. Though, laughing did kinda put a dent in his self-esteem, but nevertheless he was pleased to make such a beautiful creature blush.

"If you won't allow me to be so formal, at lest tell me your name~!"

Once you leaned forward again, he retaliated back to a regular posture. His thumb and index finger hooking in one of the loops around the sparkling pair of sky blue jeans, that were bright enough to be use as a solar panel. You brushed a few locks of hair from your face, still flushed from his previous comment. Feeling a little self-conscious you'd let a complete stranger get you so flustered like this, you smiled. A nervous twitch in your upper lip indicating he had really caught you off guard.

"(Name), and your's is Karamastu, right?"

A nervous chuckle left the raven's throat, wagging a finger at you for mispronouncing his name. You couldn't help it, everything was still so foreign to you, but he didn't mind. After all, you'd only just met him.

"Non non, it's Karamatsu. But, you can call me Kara if it makes it easier on you, my dear (Name)."

You gave a sheepish grin, nodding in understanding. Getting use to this place would be a lot harder than you thought, with or without a map. But now a new question rose to mind. Having already introduced yourselves, and feeling a bit more relaxed realizing how cheesy this man you formed a more softer expression towards him. But before you could even speak, he beat you to it.

"You must be new here. Allow me to give you the grand tour, it's the lest I could do for one of my Karamatsu Girls~!"

You raised a finger in protest, mouth slightly agape when he referred to you as a "Karamatsu Girl" again. You slowly lowered it, deciding not to argue for now if it meant he'd be helping you learn your way around here. Replying with a simple "Sure, okay!" , he motioned for you to follow knowing you'd be right behind him. Wasting no time, you followed without another word. While he seemed like a bit of a loser, there was something about the man that made him rather; sweet. You felt like those compliments were actually sincere in a way. But even if they were, you still tread with caution. Better to be safe than sorry as they always say.

____________________________________________________________________________

A few months later, you practically knew the town like the back of your hand. And it was all thanks to that Karamatsu character for showing you around.

After he'd graciously given you a full tour, you offered to treat him to a coffee. It was sort of your way of trying to get to know him better. Shortly after, the two of you began running into eachother more often. Typically, around the same metallic bridge where you later learned it was a hot spot, for him to check out other "Karamatsu Girls".

The both of you found different subjects the talk about, some a little more surprising than others. One being he came from a large family, one of five other identical siblings, who didn't take kindly to his easily inflated ego, or his existence for that matter.

Eventually, you grew to enjoy his company. You found yourself every day going to the bridge leading into town, and every time you saw him there.

Until one day; he didn't show up.

It was sprinkling that afternoon, a light rain fall scheduled later in the evening came earlier than expected. You waited there, umbrella in hand wondering if he just chose not to come today due to the weather. It would be a shame if that were the case, because you'd gone into town earlier that morning, and bought him a small gift. You felt "Thank you!" wouldn't be enough to express your graduate for him putting up with you. You didn't have a lot of friends back home, and being the first, and probably only friend you'd made since you came here, it was the lest you could do.

Hours past, and still no sign of him. At this point, you were debating if you should either go on without him. Or try again tomorrow, when it wasn't so gloomy and wet. Just as you turned around, a familiar figure came walking towards the bridge.

It was Karamatsu!

Your heart fluttered. You'd be able to give him your gift after all.

However, your smile faltered when you notice him stop half way across.

His gaze was glued to the sidewalk, thin streams of water drizzling from those raven locks, having been walking in the rain without an umbrella. That was unlike him, he always felt self-conscious about his hair style, and made sure to double, even triple check it whenever he was in front of a mirror. A trembling hand reached up, adjusting the shades that were about to fall off his nose, gently pushed them back over his eyes.

The sound of your footsteps is what made him finally look up, those thick brows furrowing together before they loosened realizing it was just you, and not some random person.

"Ah, (Name)! I-I didn't think you'd be here today."

He greeted, his typical persona voice sounding a bit higher in pitch than usual.

"Of course I'm here, I've been waiting for you this whole time. Where've you been?"

Your concern caused his expression to shift into a look of shock. He wasn't use to people being worried about him, let alone acknowledge his own existence. Not only did it make his heart leap for joy, but also burden itself feeling like you were just expressing it out of pity. You knew he and his brothers tended to get into scuffles every now and then, and who's to say that wasn't some sort of trick to get him to feel better about himself, thanks to the little story he'd told you about his brothers replacing him for a lop-sided fruit.

Adjusting his shades a second time, he scoffed.

"N-Nowhere important. My brothers kept me back...I'm here now My lovely Karamatsu Girl~! Instead of going into town today, how bout I treat you to a lovely dish of oden? My treat."

He answered, trying to divert to a completely different subject so he wouldn't have to explain any further about his lateness. Forcing himself to smile. You stopped a few inches away from the man, enough where your umbrella sheltered both of you from the slowly growing rain fall. You notice him shivering, mostly from being drenched head to toe in water, but there was something else making him anxious.

And that something, hid behind the "cracked" pair of shades masking his complexion. You were silent as curiosity got the better of you, ignoring the twitch in his smile when a few of your slender fingers reached across, looking to remove the said glasses from his face.

The moment they came in contact he flinched, snatching your wrist in a rather aggressive manner. You let out a loud yelp, not expecting him to react so violently towards a simple jester. His trembling got worse, knuckles growing white from clenching your wrist so tightly. He let go immediately when he realized he'd done something to harm you, when he saw the fear in your eyes he stepped back, looking in the other direction letting out a heavy, guilty sigh of apology.

"I- I'm sorry, my lady..."

It was then the raven removed his shades. Slowly turning his head back towards you, he looked down hearing another sound leave your delicate lips. Karamatsu's entire left eye was purple, a bit of swelling had caused it to be closed half way. This is what he'd been hiding from you, a black eye. You moved closer, your fingers trembling when they reached out a second time to graze along the dark, inflamed skin. Hesitating several times about wanting to touch it.

"Who did th-"

"My brothers, they wouldn't let me leave until I told them."

Your brows knitted at his response, swallowing the lump in your throat that'd formed from looking at the monstrosity whichever one of them had inflicted upon him. Fingers retracting momentarily when you felt him cringe at your touch, his dark orbs fixing themselves on you, looking stunned at the fact you were upset over this.

"Told them? Told them what?"

He hesitated again, locks of wet hair curtaining the tops of his eyes causing more streams of leftover rain water to drizzle down. But rain wasn't the only thing damping his cheeks.

"That I was seeing you..."

He'd told you early on his brothers were easily jealous. The kind of people who would literally tear eachother apart limb from limb over the simplest things. But what he didn't tell you; is that it was a lot worse whenever a pretty girl was involved.

"They saw us together in town the other day, and when I started to leave early this morning they greeted me, rather formally."

A low rumble vibrated in the back of his throat, your hand lowering back to your side seeing him smile again. He chuckled once he put his shades back on, making sure they fully covered the area before smoothing some of the wrinkles out of his leather jacket. Puzzled, you stared at the thin crack lining the entire left side of his glasses as he continued.

"But no need to fret, they're only jealous they couldn't get to know a wonderful Karamatsu Girl like yourself~! They lack sense of fashion, oh how I've tried to tell them that, but they just won't-"

Another adjust to his shades caused some of the lens to chip off. He cursed, removing them a second time to observe the large gap that officially ruined his good pair of shades. The man's lower lip quivered, fat, wobbly tears forming around the corners of his eyes beginning to accept defeat.

"Heh, no big deal...T-They're just a cheap brand. I-I can always....buy another pair."

Karamatsu's voice trailed off, head hung as his body trembled violently. Fingers curling around the sunglasses hearing some of the lens crack even further under their pressure. You couldn't take seeing him like this, even after getting knocked down by his brothers, and shattering his shades he still brushed it off like it was nothing. Yet, the diamonds threatening to leave his quivering orbs clearly stated otherwise.

You started to reach for his hand, only to stop knowing there was a better way to comfort him. Your stepped forward, enveloping your arms around the man's neck being mindful you didn't hit him in the back of the head with the umbrella. Your small frame, smothered against his own.

A sharp, inward gasp left Karamatsu. The warmth of your body causing a light shade of pink to dust across his cheeks.

"You don't have to pretend around me anymore, Karamatsu."

The man's breathing hitched, as if your words had made his entire world stand still. Over time you picked up flaws from him. How he'd danced around certain subjects, talk about you more than himself, there'd even been an occasion where you'd complimented his kind nature. You remember a few diamonds threatening to break the surface of his optics, overwhelmed by how genuine you sounded.

It was that same feeling, that washed over him when you reassured he didn't have to keep putting on an act. He knew you worried about him living under the same roof with five identical siblings, and while he'd managed to hide most of his distress of possibly being caught by them; no excuse would make up for what you'd seen.

"If I'd known this would cause a ruckus between you and your brothers, I wouldn't have asked to met up with you every day. I didn't expect anyone to get hurt, especially you."

His optics widened, allowing small trickles of silver to flow freely from them. The broken pair of shades slipped from his fingers, bouncing off the wet concrete without a care. His tear-filled gaze fell, noticing your own form was beginning to tremble against him.

"I should have been more considerate, but I was being selfish thinking of my own needs instead of your own. It's my fault this happened, it's my fault you got hu-"

" No. "

Wet leather dampens your clothing, as he finally embraced you. A hand gently cradling the back of your head, pulling you close to his chest. It was one thing he didn't tell you the true nature of his brothers, but never would he imagine you'd blame yourself for his abusive beating. Such negativity from such a beautiful angel, it made his heart ache hearing you talk like that.

Feeling his digits tangle themselves through some of your hair, you hesitated to speak until he did.

"It's not your fault {Name}, it's mine. For not telling you. I should have been more considerate about your feelings. But, I-"

He paused, squeezing you tighter which made the umbrella you were holding fall, feeling heavy raindrops caress your trembling form.

"I was afraid of scaring you away. To tell you the truth, you've been the only one who's enjoyed my company. The way you would laugh at my compliments, ask me about my day, even getting excited about seeing me again."

He clung to the mats of wet hair that were nestled between his fingers.

"I didn't want to lose that...I didn't want to lose you. That's why I kept acting that way, because I knew if I did you'd always be happy. No matter what. I'm sorry, my--"

His voice trailed, a heavy sob ripping through him unable to keep holding that ego of his you'd grown so fond of. If you were to know what he was truly like, he feared you'd lose respect for him. While his positivity stayed true, all those compliments, glittery clothes, and dramatic ego were ways to hide the loneliness he'd endured from others. His brothers, his parents, even a childhood crush who'd continued to reject him because she couldn't stand the fact he was a virgin.

He expected you to push him away too; but instead you rested your head against him. The scent of cheap cologne, rain, and leather delivering comfort along with his words. You shushed him gently, rubbing small circles along his neck with one hand as he wept. You felt his grip tighten on you, almost fearing if he were to let go you'd vanish into thin air. You finally spoke, answering him in a soft tone of voice.

"Karamatsu, I was already happy just being with you. It was never about your looks, or the way you talked. It was the fact you wanted to spend time with me, and was brave enough to compliment me even if I laughed. You weren't afraid to be honest about my looks, and I always appreciated that."

Momentarily removing your arms from his neck, you reached into your pocket to retrieve the gift you'd nearly forgotten about. He watched, as a pair of brand new shades were presented with a small bow tied around them. His expression shifted, seeming surprised by it.

"I, meant to give these to you the other day. But I wanted to wait until the right moment to properly give them to you. It's sort of a thank you gift, for being so sweet to me. Seems like you could use them now cause..."

You paused, realizing you were starting to go off topic.

"I'm sorry, maybe it is a little too much. I'm sure you have other shades to replace the ones that your brothers broke, this isn't the same brand you like anyways I ju--"

Something soft and warm grazed against your cheek, causing you to stop in mid-sentence. Amused by your act of kindness, the raven had gently kissed you to show his gratitude And, to keep you from babbling since it was clear you were starting to lose your focus. The fact you'd gone out of your way to give him something, was enough to bring that famous smile of his back.

Though bruised, wet, and teary-eyed, Karamatsu felt better knowing you considered him "sweet".

You released a flustered sigh, your cheeks tinted red. They only grew darker when he once again pulled you against his chest, trying to shelter you from the rain that'd left you as soaked as the man who held you.

He leaned in, whispering into your ear.

"They're perfect, just like you. My {Name}.."

The hand cradling your back removed itself, slowly intertwining with the smaller digits which grasped the pair of shades you'd given him. It wasn't until he pulled back, that your gazes met in silence. What held you close, what suffered, what he had done just to keep you by his side; was a misfit. A sinful man, a lonely man, someone who'd been so desperate for attention that he buried his own feelings for the sake of others like you. He'd been so attached to this ego, he didn't even realize that you liked him. Maybe, even loved him just for being himself.

And as he found himself losing his own focus, the same warm lips that caressed your cheek, slowly captured your own.

A heavy crimson colored your complexion. You'd been too nervous to admit it, but somehow this man had done more than fluster you with compliments. True he didn't speak English very well, and hid things from you. But from the very moment he laid eyes on you, he dedicated himself to keep you happy. Even if you turned out to be another person who called him a creep, or shoved him into the park's fountain when he tried to kiss your hand. And you loved him for that. For being a man who put others before himself. A man who was selfless, and adored you so much he hid every ounce of evidence to keep his brothers from knowing about you.

Your eyes closed, embracing the liplock he'd delicately placed upon you. Your reaction caused him to deepen it, squeezing your frame even tighter once he knew you were okay with him doing this. His lips eventually parted, only to recapture your upper lip gently brushing the tip of his tongue against it before retracting it and delivering another passionate kiss. You didn't resist, just being mindful of the glasses the both of you now cradled between your laced fingers.

The man's warm breath washed over you when he finally broke the kiss, his half-lidded gaze refocusing on your's. Raven locks clung to his forehead. His once perfect hairstyle, had become a wet and shaggy mess. But he didn't care, you were the only thing on his mind. Though granting him permission to kiss you, the Matsu seemed a little anxious when your arm loosened around his neck. Had he stepped over the line? And done something he shouldn't have?

"I-I'm sorry I-I--"

As he tried to stammer out an apology a finger silenced his attempt. You simply smiled at Karamatsu, dipping your head just enough until his forehead lightly brushed against your's. He waited until your hand lowered to release a rattled sigh of relief, his digits gently massaging the back of your head.

"Don't ever apologizes for being yourself, Karamatsu."

Your voice was barely a whisper, audible enough to make Karamatsu shudder at the sound of it. That was all he ever wanted to hear. Someone who cherished their time around him without looking for a way out. Someone who appreciate his cheesy compliments without curling their lip at how ridiculous most of them were. Someone, who'd wait for hours in the pouring rain...just to give him another pair of shades.

"If your brothers don't like seeing us together, then they'll just have to get use to it. Because I'm not going anywhere."

Diamonds sprung from his optics again. Even after he'd lied about his brothers abusing him, you still wanted to be with him. If this was your way of giving him a second chance, then he would gladly take it. If it meant continuing to hear your positive words, and seeing your beautiful face greeting him each morning at the bridge like today.

"{Name}...I-"

Your soft lips silenced the man, snaking your hand around to tangle with the mess of shaggy lock that'd completely swept over the top of his eyes. A moan escaped him as his lips parted, taking in your affection like he'd waited years for it. Now that you'd given him a taste of your feelings, he would graciously return them in his own manner. Without his ego taking part.

He might have been a worthless NEET; but you made him feel worthy by loving the very thing he'd graced you with. His presence.

Three little words breathed against your lips, before they were recaptured by his gentle touch.

"I love you.."

You pressed yourself against the man's chest, finally letting go of his hand which coiled around your waist. The rain was beginning to let up, but he didn't care at this point. All that mattered was being with you. Whether or not his brothers would find about no longer concerned him, for you were more important. From here on out he'd always put you first, and if he got beat up for it. It would be worth it.

Because he had the most beautiful being nestled against his chest.

You.
You know your writing motivation is bad, when you try and finish a Reader that's been in your stash since April.

I recently decided to finish this, because I never developed an ending for it. And since my last Reader has become the most popular one I get favorites and comments from on a daily basis, I might as well do another one.

There isn't enough Osomatsu-san Readers, so I hope this satisfies some of you Karamatsu Girls/Boys/Fans whatever you like to call yourselves who admire and love this precious man.

I had to reupload this, because I posted it to my journals instead of under literature. I'm so embarrassed for anyone that noticed it.

Enjoy!
